How we began...
When I (Errol) first opened the Inkstitution, I started out
all by myself. After about three months, more and more business
entered the frontdoor. At that point I decided to hire two more
guys to help me out with all the walk-ins, because I had a lot
op appointments for customwork. Since the Inkstitution is a
studio where we like to help everybody with good service and
a smile, nobody walks out without being served.
I always like to make an appointment just for a consult to talk
about the customer's needs and wishes before I even start drawing
for them. Only then, to my believe, the customers get what they
really wish to wear on their body's for the rest of their lives.
The way I see it is: people pay good money to get their tattoo
done and sometimes go through hell for the bigger pieces! So
why shouldn't I take the effort and educate them a little bit,
so that I can give 'em something unique that fits them, instead
of don't give a damn and put just about anything on their skin.
The work I like to do best are the fifties pin-ups, in Elvgren
or Vargas style... ››› |
